Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis is a multifactorial disease, with genetic, environmental, and stochastic components to its susceptibility. The search for susceptibility genes is still in progress. Preliminary results suggest the involvement of multiple genes, each with relatively modest effect. Genes within the major histocompatibility complex appear to have the strongest influence on disease susceptibility.Entities:
