Abstract
A child showing signs of Henoch-Schönlein purpura developed a right tibiofibular vascular thrombosis. Antiphospholipid antibody tests were positive for both lupus anticoagulant and anticardiolipin antibodies. This suggests that an antiphospholipid syndrome should be considered in cases of Henoch-Schönlein purpura and antiphospholipid antibodies should be measured to determine whether prophylactic antithrombotic measures are needed to prevent thrombotic manifestations.Entities:
