Abstract
This review focuses on the properties and roles of distinct subsets among the primary and the memory B lymphocytes regarding their contribution to helper-T-cell-dependent and -independent antibody responses. The naive/memory B cell functions are explained in the context of current concepts on the basic mechanisms of humoral immunity. Differences between murine and human B cells are also discussed.Entities:
