[Extrapulmonary inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor].

Literature data and three cases observed by the authors are described. Extrapulmonary inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (EIMT) presented with proliferation of spindle cells with myofibroblast phenotype. Frequent recurrences and indefinite prognosis make to treat these lesions as true tumors. EIMT malignancy hyperdiagnosis is possible as morphologically it and some soft tissue sarcomas are alike.
