Abstract
Three patients exhibited tonic uninhibited lid elevation in unconscious states. In the two cases adequately studied at autopsy, the lesions were too large for precise localization but suggest that damage to the pons (and probably midbrain as well) can interfere with normal lid relaxation in coma and sleep.Entities:
