Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To determine the nitidine in different parts of Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb.) DC. METHODS: HPLC method was used. The column was HYPERSIL BDS C18. The mobile phase was 0.02 mol/L monobasic potassium phosphate: acetonitrile (66:34). The detective wavelength was 328 nm. RESULTS: The average recoveries and RSD for nitidine was 100.24%, 1.83% respectively. The root contained more nitidine than other parts. CONCLUSION: The method can be used for the quality control of Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb.) DC. The roots were the best part for medicine.
