Abstract
The authors report 2 cases of glioblastomas subsequent to radiation of intracranial tumors. In the first case, a 47-year old man received radiation therapy after subtotal removal of a temporobasal meningioma. In the second case, a 52-year old women underwent operation of an atypical falcine meningioma and was irradiated postoperatively. - After radiation of meningiomas the development of glioblastomas is described as a rare complication in the literature. A literature analysis of 49 radiation induced tumors revealed that there was no correlation between the radiation dosage and time interval of appearance of the second tumor.Entities:
