Abstract
Parkinson's disease treatments can be divided into three categories: symptomatic, protective and restorative. This review focuses on the restorative and neuroprotective actions of a new class of potential therapeutic agents, neuroimmunophilin ligands. To date, however, short-term treatments with two such compounds in a non-human primate model and in patients with Parkinson's disease have been disappointing.Entities:
