The non-centrosymmetric crystal structure is built from alternating molecular sheets of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde and hexamethylenetetramine molecules, and is stabilized by intermolecular O-H...N, C-H...O and C-H...pi interactions.
