Percutaneous closure of postmyocardial infarction ventricular septal defect with the CardioSEAL septal occluder implant.

P Pienvichit1, T C Piemonte.

Postinfarction ventricular septal rupture carries a poor prognosis with medical or surgical treatment. We report on successful deployment of CardioSEAL septal occluder implant for postinfarct septal defect in a high-surgical-risk patient. Copyright 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
