Abstract
After-hours telephone consultation is a well-established component of the practice of pediatric medicine. We describe an assessment of the propriety of after-hours telephone calls made by parents at an inner-city pediatric clinic. We conclude that an inner-city pediatric clinic experienced neither more frequent nor less urgent calls in comparison to the data published for private practice suburban settings.Mesh:
