Abstract
A MEDLINE search was performed for published results from 1966-1995 and 1996-1999 of arthroscopic-assisted anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using patellar tendon autograft without extra-articular augmentation and evaluated at a minimum 2 years postoperatively. Despite the significant number of ACL reconstructions performed annually, there is a paucity of clinical results reported. Additionally, there are no uniform guidelines for the postoperative assessment of surgical results, making comparisons difficult.Mesh:
