Abstract
Tetralogy of Fallot is a congenital heart defect that causes cyanosis, severe progressive weakness and activity intolerance, polycythemia, and shortened life span in dogs. Open surgical repair of tetralogy of Fallot consisting of closure of the ventricular septal defect and reconstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract via a right ventriculotomy during cardiopulmonary bypass is feasible in severely affected dogs. Successful surgical repair can completely resolve clinical signs associated with the defect.Entities:
