Abstract

Obstructive hydrocephalus with deterioration of consciousness from a ruptured arteriovenous malformation (AVM) requires urgent decompression, but also vigilance during the preoperative stage in case of rare spontaneous resolution. Copyright 2001 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
