Abstract
A pilot study has been carried up in the United Kingdom to assess the feasibility of a national screening programme of genital chlamydial infections. The preliminary results show a high acceptance rate (70% of the candidates) and a significant coverage of the target population (40% over a six months period). Several other studies are ongoing in order to specify the more appropriate screening processes and partner notification strategies, as well as the cost effectiveness of a national programme.Entities:
