Abstract
Maurizio Bufalini's methodology represented a particularly interesting example of an opposition to current medical thought in an age dominated by few systems, such as Browns's. Bufalini made a strongly critical examination of Brown's thinking. Through a new interpretation and a critical analysis of some passages from his fundamental works, the most important topics of Bufalini's thought processes are stressed, and his methodology for medical sciences is emphasized, i.e. the search for true causes of diseases by a progressive exclusion of unconvincing causes.Mesh:
