Jaspers, Kurt Schneider and the Heidelberg school of psychiatry.

Abstract

The psychiatric tradition of Heidelberg goes back to Kraepelin. Its psychopathological orientation was established by Jaspers and developed by K. Schneider. The relationship between these two men is explored through an analysis of their correspondence, which lasted for more than fifty years.
