Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To explore the medicinal resources of Crataegus and seek compounds with pharmaceutical effects. METHOD: Column chromatography was employed for the isolation and purification of constituents and the structures were elucidated by spectral analysis and chemical evidence. RESULT: Six compounds were obtained and identified as rutin, hyperoside, vitexin, ursolic acid, daucosterol, and nonacosanol. CONCLUSION: The main constituents of the leaves of Crataegus scabrifolia are flavonoids.
