Abstract
A series of analogs of N-benzylimidazole was prepared and tested for hypolipidemic activity. Both plasma cholesterol and triglyceride-lowering activity were found in several members of the series. The most active compounds were N-3-methoxy-, N-4-methoxy-, and N-4-methylbenzylimidazole. Structure-activity relationships are discussed.Entities:
