Abstract
CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells regulate the activity of autoreactive T cells. Depletion of these cells results in the development of a wide-spectrum of organ-specific autoimmune diseases. In vitro model systems have been developed to study the function of these potent suppressor cells. Following their activation via their T-cell receptor, they downregulate the responses of CD25(-) effectors by a T-T interaction.Entities:
