Abstract
A unique case of spontaneous Morganella morganii meningitis in a patient with stage IV Hodgkin's disease, following hematogenous spread from the urinary tract, is described. Late initiation of appropriate antibiotic treatment was probably responsible for the fatal outcome. This case illustrates the pathogenic potential of M. morganii in immunocompromised hosts.Entities:
