Abstract
The reported relationships between cholesteryl ester transfer protein, high density lipoproteins and arterial disease are confusing and conflicting. Several papers published during the review period add substantially to the evidence base regarding the atherogenicity (or anti-atherogenicity) of cholesteryl ester transfer protein, although none clearly resolves the continuing conflict. These new papers are presented against the backdrop of the previous state of knowledge.Entities:
