Abstract
Clostridium innocuum isolates resistant to vancomycin (MIC values of 16-24 microg/mL) were isolated from three patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile -associated diarrhea (CDAD). We discuss the clinical significance and problems associated with the identification and differentiation of these two clostridial species, which may result in misdiagnosis of patients.Entities:
