Abstract
The host of solid supports available to the synthetic chemist adds yet another level of complexity to solid-phase synthesis. Although the selection of the optimal solid support for a specific synthetic transformation is still empirically driven, significant progress has been made in the development of quantitative techniques to compare solid supports, providing new insight into the microenvironment created by the interaction of the solid support with solvent.Mesh:
