Abstract
The facial nerve may be damaged by trauma, surgical manipulation, inflammation or neoplastic disease. Current techniques for repair and regeneration of the damaged nerve produce suboptimal results. This review outlines the current knowledge of experimental facial nerve regeneration in vitro and in vivo to provide an insight for neurosurgeons in clinical practice.Entities:
