Abstract
Medical imaging has been used primarily for diagnosis. In the past 15 years there has been an emergence of the use of images for the guidance of therapy. This process requires three-dimensional localization devices, the ability to register medical images to physical space, and the ability to display position and trajectory on those images. This paper examines the development and state of the art in those processes.Mesh:
