Abstract
We report our experience of segmental bronchial atresia managed with segmental resection under video-assisted thoracic surgery. A 23-year-old woman reporting a cough, dyspnea, and back pain underwent segmental resection in which a stapling device was used under video-assisted thoracic surgery. Her postoperative course was uneventful with minimal pain and a disappearance of preoperative symptoms after surgery. Once an accurate preoperative diagnosis can be established, video-assisted thoracic segmentectomy together with the use of a stapling device is considered to be feasible.Entities:
