[Clinical use and action mechanism of propranolol].

Abstract

Propranololum reduces the intraocular tension by inhibiting the production of aqueous humour. In about 50% of all cases the medicament, given as 1% drops, proves an effective anti-glaucomatous agent. Combined with adrenaline it is particularly effective and well tolerated.
