Abstract
Thrombocytosis is a frequent presenting feature of myeloproliferate disorders and is associated with increased incidence of thrombotic and haemorrhage complications. However, these complications are rare in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). We describe a case of CML which presented with digital gangrene due to thrombocytosis. Reduction of the platelet count by plateletpheresis lead to rapid symptomatic relief and recovery from the gangrene.Entities:
