Abstract
The present study shows the effect of omeprazole administration on the pharmacokinetics of a sustained-release preparation of carbamazepine in healthy male volunteers. Multiple dose administration of omeprazole increased the Cmax, AUC0-infinity and elimination half life (t1/2e) of carbamazepine. The results suggest that drug monitoring should be carried out when carbamazepine is coadministered with omeprazole.Entities:
