Treatment of discospondylitis in the dog.

Abstract

A combination of spinal cord decompression, spinal column immobilization, and systemic antibiotic therapy was used to treat discospondylitis in 30 dogs. Recovery was complete in 7 of 9 dogs with cervical involvement and in all 21 dogs with thoracolumbar involvement.
