Abstract
Snake venoms are responsible for two reported human deaths as determined by the double diffusion method. Double diffusion is a simple, rapid, and reliable method, but it is rather qualitative and requires a rather large quantity of sample. In order to evaluate venom concentration more quantitatively, the more sensitive ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) method was used as an alternative, and the results were compared with that of the double diffusion method.Entities:
