The bending stiffness of the human tibia.

R J Minns, J Campbell, G R Bremble.

Abstract

The bending of isolated human cadaveric tibiae in the antero-posterior and medio-lateral planes was studied. It was found that the mean bending stiffness in the antero-posterior plan was 5.989 Nm/mm and in the medio-lateral plane 3.588 Nm/mm.
