Abstract
We report a case of heterotopic ossification of a pedicled intercostal muscle flap that had been wrapped circumferentially around a bronchial sleeve anastomosis. This ossification caused severe bronchial stenosis and recurrent pneumonias. Stent insertion failed, and the patient ultimately required completion pneumonectomy. We recommended that caution be used when wrapping intercostal muscle around any important lumen.Entities:
