Abstract
False aneurysm may occur from trauma to the floor of the mouth, including iatrogenic trauma from surgical procedures. This report will present a case of a pseudoaneurysm of the lingual artery following tonsillectomy. Development of lingual artery pseudoaneurysms can occur within a few hours following tonsillectomy. Angiography provides the diagnosis, and endovascular intervention is an efficient alternative to surgery for treatment of such aneurysm with low morbidity. Endovascular embolization with platinum coils is an effective means of controlling bleeding and avoiding surgical intervention.Entities:
