Abstract
Complications in children receiving outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy were reviewed. Catheter-associated complications and/or adverse drug reactions occurred in 50% of courses. Most complications were minor, and almost all infections were successfully treated. Even with early discontinuation of parenteral antibiotics because of adverse drug reactions in 24% of the courses, the outcome was excellent.Entities:
