Abstract
Meckel's diverticulum is the most common site of heterotopic gastric mucosa (HGM). Other sites include intestinal duplication and the small bowel proper. Tc-99m pertechnetate abdominal scintigraphy is used commonly to detect HGM. This article describes various scintigraphic patterns of HGM and reviews technical aspects of the procedure, with emphasis on pharmacologic enhancement.Entities:
