Abstract
A mammalian homologue of the Aspergillus atypical calpain PalB, PalBH, was identified and its cDNA sequences were determined in human and mouse. The PalBH mRNA was expressed nearly ubiquitously throughout mammalian tissues. When expressed in COS cells, PalBH was enriched in the nucleus, suggesting its role is distinct from that of conventional calpains.Entities:
