Abstract
Two cases of rupture of the pectoralis major are reported, one caused by excessive tension and direct violence, while the other was a result of direct violence alone. The site of the rupture was at the lateral third portion of the pectoralis major in one and at the musculotendinous junction in the other. Both patients were treated surgically, and regained full function of their shoulders. Review of the literature suggests that surgical repair is generally advisable and more gratifying than conservative management.Entities:
