Disaggregation of prostates and purification of epithelial cells from normal and cancerous prostates using sedimentation in an isokinetic density gradient of Ficoll in tissue culture medium.

A brief summary of our work on the separation of epithelial cells from prostates and prostatic carcinomas is presented. Epithelial cells have been obtained from hamster prostates, human prostates, and human prostatic carcinomas in greater than 95 percent purity.
