Abstract
We investigate the structure of the electric double layer on charged colloids by Monte Carlo simulations. Using the primitive model of asymmetric electrolytes, the integrated charge distribution function on a spherical colloidal particle are also studied. With high concentrations of divalent ions, numerical results predict charge oscillation and charge inversion phenomena, which the traditional Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek theory cannot reproduce.Entities:
