Abstract
There has been an increase in the use of the resorbable membranes that do not require a second stage surgery for removal in guided bone regeneration. The purpose of this review is to discuss the immune response of the host to the collagen, the use of resorbable membranes derived from Type I collagen of bovine Achilles tendon around dental implants, and its potential significance in the future of dental implantology.Entities:
