Abstract
Although metastases to the thyroid are not uncommon at autopsy, most of these lesions are clinically occult. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a case of hepatocellular carcinoma initially presenting as a thyroid mass. Various radiological studies suggested malignant thyroid tumor, and core needle biopsy was performed. Metastasis from hepatocellular carcinoma was histopathologically suspected, and subsequent abdominal CT revealed advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.Entities:
