Molecular properties of the inducible lupanine hydroxylase from growing cultures of Pseudomonas lupanini.

J Rogoziński.

Abstract

An improved method for isolation of lupanine hydroxylase, giving a 450-fold purification, is presented. The molecular weight of the enzyme is about 72 000, and the sedimentation coefficient S20, W 5.05. The enzyme contains a component similar to Pseudomonas cytochromes c. Its oxidation-reduction potential was found to be below + 45 mV.
