Abstract
The antinociceptive effect of different Elaeagnus angustifolia fruit seed extractives was studied in mice using hot-plate and writhing tests. Following intraperitoneal injection, the decoction (EaDE), the ethanol extract (EaEE), the aqueous and n-butanol fractions (EaAF, and EaBF, respectively) of a polyphenolic fraction, and two flavonoid-enriched fractions of EaBF (EaBCF1 and EaBCF2) showed significant antinociceptive activity in both tests, markedly and dose-dependently increasing the pain threshold.Entities:
