Abstract
In patients who have elevated levels of plasma ADMA, a relative deficiency of L-arginine has been found to contribute to the pathophysiology of athersclerosis, causing vasoconstriction, and accelerating atherogenesis. This finding--that there is a relative deficiency of L-arginine in atherosclerotic disease--is a breakthrough that will open new avenues of therapy.Entities:
