Neurosurgical management of low- and intermediate-grade gliomas.

Surgery remains an effective treatment for most histologic types of low- and intermediate-grade gliomas and is an important part of their initial management. Controversies nonetheless abound regarding the timing and goals of surgery for these gliomas.
