Abstract
Retrospective analysis of newly diagnosed gout cases seen at the Mayo Clinic from 1949 through 1972 shows a progressive decline in tophaceous gout, from 14% to 3%. Gout diagnoses remained stable in a range of 1.5 to 2.2/1,000 patients seen.Entities:
