Abstract
Sialosphingolipids obtained from spermatozoa of the sea urchin, Anthocidaris crassispina gave nine spots by thin-layer chromatography. Two of them were isolated by silicic acid column chromatography. The predominant one was proposed to be N-acetylneuraminyl (2 yields 8) N-acetylneuraminyl (2 yields 6) glucopyranosyl ceramide, and the second to be N-acetylneuraminyl (2 yields 6) glucopyranosyl ceramide.Entities:
