Abstract
A divalent cation-dependent antagonism of dihydrostreptomycin action on Mycobacterium smegmatis was demonstrated. However, the nutritionally nonessential cations Sr++ and Ba++ inhibited drug action as effectively as the essential ions Mg++ and Ca++, indicating a high degree of nonspecificity.Entities:
